Fuerteventura is the second largest island in the Canary Islands, with its 150 kilometers of length. It is impossible to explore the entire island in one day, so we offer you a tour of the northern area that goes as far as Betancuria, a town located in the center of the island.
Thanks to the tourism industry (we'll see an example in Corralejo), the island is becoming increasingly well-known in Europe, first for its beaches but also for its interior and protected areas. It should be noted that it has been declared a Biosphere Reserve.
During our guided tour, we will bring you closer to its history of survival, customs, way of life, and future prospects. Fuerteventura is often associated only with a beach destination, but the island has rugged and desert-like interior landscapes through endless roads, of a peculiar beauty. We will see these contrasts by visiting an aloe vera plantation in La Oliva, the beautiful Betancuria and its viewpoints, Valle de Santa Inés, a small village in the interior, and the spectacular Natural Park of the Corralejo Dunes.
The island's interior, until recently forgotten and denigrated, is gradually awakening, focusing on rural tourism, the cultivation of aloe vera, tomatoes, or the recent implementation and production of extra virgin olive oil. It will be a long but satisfying day, and who knows, maybe Fuerteventura will be your island where you enjoy your next vacation in the Canary Islands.
