Discover the contrasts of Lanzarote on a circular electric mountain bike (e-MTB) tour, designed to explore volcanic dirt tracks and black ash trails without physical overexertion. The experience begins with helmet fitting, custom adjustments to your bike, and a brief technical briefing by our professional guide-instructor (registered in Active Tourism with the Canary Islands Government) to get familiar with the motor's pedal-assist modes. Once underway, we venture deep into the Volcanoes Natural Park, riding along volcanic gravel tracks ( picón ) and petrified lava fields, skirting the breathtaking surroundings of Timanfaya National Park in the absolute silence of this lunar landscape.
From there, the electric assistance lets you cruise effortlessly through awe-inspiring volcanic scenery to one of the area's most iconic volcanoes. Here, we step off the bikes to walk right inside an authentic volcanic crater and take in spectacular panoramic views over the lava flows and the Fire Mountains. The ride continues along trails that connect with the extraordinary protected landscape of La Geria—a worldwide unique agricultural wonder where grapevines, fig trees, and prickly pears sprout directly from the black ash, shielded by curved volcanic stone walls ( zocos ). To crown the experience, you will also have the option to conclude with a local wine and artisan cheese tasting at a traditional winery.
The route offers flowing tracks, striking color contrasts, and scenic sections crossing ash plains and trails through rugged lava badlands ( malpaíses ) before completing the circuit. A relaxed, unhurried guided tour lasting around 3.5 hours, run exclusively in small groups capped at 6 participants, with souvenir photos and video, trail snacks, and all necessary equipment included.
You will enjoy the island’s most authentic volcanic landscapes and the raw energy of Timanfaya's surroundings without physical strain thanks to our e-bikes. It is an exceptionally scenic route with no significant physical difficulty, supported by four electric assist modes. Fully suitable for all experience levels, including beginners: the only essential requirement is being able to ride a bicycle with confidence. We do not ride inside the interior of Timanfaya National Park due to its strict legal conservation status, but we explore its closest, most impressive surroundings within the Volcanoes Natural Park.
