Learn or refine your stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) technique in Puerto del Carmen with a guided lesson that includes a complimentary digital souvenir photo package. To ensure personalized, safe instruction tailored to your needs, you can choose between small-group classes capped at a maximum of 8 participants (available in 1- or 2-hour sessions) or the exclusivity of an individual 1-on-1 private lesson with an instructor dedicated entirely to you.
The meeting point is at the School3s center, located just steps from the coast. Before entering the water, ISA-certified (International Surfing Association) instructors and certified lifeguards deliver a shore-based introductory briefing. You will learn how to adjust the paddle to your height, key ocean safety rules, the kneeling position for initial stability, and the step-by-step technique to stand up on the board with complete confidence.
Water practice takes place in the sheltered bay of El Poril, right beside Playa Chica. Its calm waters, protected from ocean currents, create the ideal setting whether it is your very first time on a board or you have paddled before and want to build confidence or refine your stroke. During the session, you can practice turns, observe marine life over high-visibility volcanic seabeds, and pause for an open-water swim while your instructor captures action photos—allowing you to focus entirely on your balance without worrying about taking a phone or camera into the sea.
