Immerse yourself in Nigüelas, one of the most charming villages in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park, to enjoy an experience where nature, history, and gastronomy come together. This protected area covers the middle and lower areas of the mountain, the perfect setting where the villages of the Lecrín Valley are located, along with olive groves, traditional irrigation ditches, and the most accessible walking routes. This is exactly where our activity takes place.
We will start by walking through the narrow streets of this white village until we reach the Pavilla Trail. It is a 4-kilometer walk that runs along old irrigation ditches and spectacular olive grove landscapes. A relaxed and accessible route for all (children from 6 years old). During the walk, your guide will reveal how water culture and agriculture have shaped the territory's life for generations.
But the experience does not end on the trail. After the walk, we will visit Almazara La Erilla, a traditional mill with more than five centuries of history. Here, you will discover the artisan process of olive oil production and how it has evolved to this day.
As a finishing touch, we will participate in a guided tasting of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). You will learn to recognize its aromas, flavors, and nuances, discovering why the oil from this land is considered a true Andalusian treasure. A perfect morning of culture, nature, and flavor at your own pace.
An exclusive and interactive small-group experience that combines hiking, nature, heritage, tradition, and gastronomy. Just 35 km from Granada, discover this little-known area and the charming town of Nigüelas in a different way: walking among its landscapes, discovering its history, and savoring one of the great treasures of the Lecrín Valley.
