Spend the morning at a working goat farm, a unique setting where you will discover the world of D.O.P. (Protected Designation of Origin) Majorero cheese. You’ll have the chance to witness the entire production process firsthand, from milking the goats to the final packaging and labeling.
This farm has been specially adapted to offer a fully interactive experience. Become a cheesemaker for a day: join our artisanal workshop and learn how to press your own fresh Majorero cheese using the traditional “pleita” (braided mold) technique—and you can even take it home with you!
The visit also includes a tasting of a wide variety of cheeses, including fresh, semi-cured, cured, smoked, and paprika-rubbed varieties.
La Casa del Queso Cabrera Pérez is a tribute to the Fuerteventura families and ancestors who turned cheese-making into an art form and a way of life, despite the island's challenging climate. Located in a charming rural desert area in the island's interior, this sustainable initiative honors local traditions, respects the environment, and connects you with the true culture of the island.
Before you leave, stop by our shop-cafetería to enjoy other local delicacies, such as artisanal jams, honey, olive oil, wine, and craft beer.
